Sony launches Z8H 8K TV in India: Check price, features here

Sony on Monday launched its first 8K television in India. The newly launched Sony Z8H 8K television costs ₹13,99,990 in India and it will go on sale in the country starting October 5 via Sony retail stores, www.ShopatSC.com portal and major electronics stores and e-retail portals.

Coming to the features, the newly launched Sony Z8H 8K TV comes with an 85-inch display. It is powered by Sony’s X1 Ultimate processor, which Sony says processes data to power 8K pictures with four times the resolution of 4K. The company says that its X1 Ultimate processor can upscale 4K and 2K images to 8K resolution using 8K X-Reality PRO technology. It comes with 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO with 14X XDR contrast that further enhances the contrast by adjusting the brightness for higher peaks in glare and deeper blacks in shadow.

The Sony Z8H TV is ‘Ready for PlayStation 5’, which means that users get to see 8K resolution images while showcasing 4K resolution gameplay images at 120 fps.

Coming to the software, the Sony Z8H runs on Android TV which supports over 5m000 apps and games from Google Play, including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Video, Disney+ Hotstar. It also has a built-in voice assistant. In addition to that, Sony Z8H TV is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. Additionally, it also works with popular smart speakers like Google Home and Amazon Echo.

As far as the audio is concerned, it comes with Sony’s newly launched 8K TV comes with an acoustic multi-audio, S-Force Front Surround Sound and Dolby Atmos.

Lastly, the Sony Z8H TV comes with a new backlit remote control. The buttons of this remote turn on automatically when picked up in dark. It also comes with a built-in voice control microphone and enhanced button layout it is easy to use.
