How to stay safe from online banking scams
People have taken to online banking in huge numbers over the last 2 years. However, this has also drawn cybercriminals to this segment and they are looking to exploit the fact that most people are confused about how net banking is done and some are not at all confident. This gap in knowledge is taken advantage of by cybercriminals. In recent weeks cases of people losing their money have been revealed. Among them are those where the bank account holder is interacting with a lender and has to pay a big amount. However, cybercriminals manage to interject themselves in this mail trail without the bank account holder becoming aware of it. Ultimately, the cybercriminals send their account number and persuade the the bank account holder to send them the money.
