5 things to know about Micromax’s In 1 budget smartphone
Micromax’s latest smartphone In 1 is here. It is the third smartphone in the In lineup that had debuted in November last year. The In 1 has joined In Note 1 and In 1b. As expected, the new handset is aimed at the budget category and will compete with the likes of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series and Realme’s Narzo series. If you are planning to buy the new Micromax phone, here are five things to know:
Price, availability, offers
Micromax’s In 1 comes in two variants – 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB. The two models are priced at ₹10,499 and ₹11,999, respectively. Micromax is offering the two phones at introductory prices of ₹9,999 and ₹11,499, respectively. The scheme is available on March 26, 2021, till stocks last.
The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale on March 26 at 12 pm on Flipkart and Micromax website.
Display & Design
Micromax In 1 comes with a 6.67-inch display with full HD+ resolution, 440 nits of brightness, 20:9 screen ratio and 91.4% screen-to-body ratio. It also comes with an 80-degree viewing angle and supports HD playback on OTT platforms. There is also a punch-hole cut-out on the front.
The handset also has less than 9nmm thickness and a “metallic finish”. “The metallic finish, sleeker body and a unique X Pattern makes the IN 1 look fantastic. The matte finish and Oleophobic coating on screen ensure that there are no residual fingerprint smudges on the back or the front of the screen,” said Micromax in a release.
The handset comes with a 48-megapixel AI triple rear camera setup. The 48-megapixel primary sensor is coupled with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The company claims In 1 is the only phone in the price segment to come with Night mode on both rear and front. It also has an AI scene recognition feature that is capable of recognising up to 10 different scenes.
In 1 runs on MediaTek Helio G80 with a mix of Arm Cortex-A75 and -A55 CPUs. The phone comes with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. The smartphone supports expandable storage up to 256GB via a microSD card.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The company is also bundling an 18W charger in the box.
The handset comes with Dual VoWiFi, Dual VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and Dual Wi-Fi Band. As said earlier, Micromax In 1 is also L1 Widevine certified for HD video playback on apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. On the software front, it offers a near-stock Android (v10) operating system. Micromax has also promised Android upgrades for two years.
