HMD Global has a slew of Nokia phones in the pipeline ready to launch starting this month. There's also been an Android-powered Nokia feature phone rumoured for the longest time. A new sketch now reveals what is believed to be the Nokia feature phone running on Android.

HMD Global has been bringing back classic Nokia phones in new avatars like the Nokia 3110, Nokia 8110 and most recently the Nokia 5310. The company is also expected to be working on a Nokia feature phone that will be powered by Google' Android OS. There's now a sketch of this Nokia feature phone which has a dedicated Google Assistant button. This sketch which has been shared by Nokiamob, is believed to be of the rumoured Android-powered Nokia feature phone.

Other than the Google Assistant button, the rest of the phone's design looks quite like any other Nokia feature phone. There is a selfie camera on top of the phone. The sketch of this phone resembles the same Nokia feature phone that appeared in a video running on Android. Google doesn't have any Android OS for feature phones at the moment.

In the video, the Nokia feature phone is seen running some unknown version of Android with pre-installed Google apps like YouTube and Chrome. The phone also supports Google Assistant voice search that can be activated by pressing its button. There's currently no word on Google and Nokia actually working on an Android-powered feature phone. It would be a first of its kind though.

There have been sightings of a Nokia feature phone passing FCC certification with quite basic specs. But there's no mention of Android on this Nokia feature phone. It looks like this new Nokia feature phone is still early in development but a launch is expected in the near future. HMD Global has more Nokia phones in the pipeline including the Nokia 9.3 PureView, Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 6.3, Nokia 2.4 and Nokia 3.4.
