Cricketer KL Rahul named as the new realme smartphone brand ambassador

realme has announced the appointment of Team India cricketing star KL Rahul as its brand ambassador. Rahul will endorse realme's smartphone category. The young KL Rahul is known for his powerful and stylish power play in all forms of cricket and that is the brand ideology that the company is looking at bolstering. The cricketer will work with realme to help grow the smartphones category under its broad umbrella of product offerings.
KL Rahul has set new benchmarks, inspired thousands of millennials across the country and the same strengths of his are expected to be leveraged by the company in its appeal to youngsters. Rahul has been an inspiring growth story, and his off-the-field style aligns with the brands' ideology to be powerful and stylish, realme said in a statement.
“The brand has established itself as one of the leaders in the global market makes me proud to have associated myself with them. Furthermore, its ethos of ‘Dare to Leap' is something that I strongly resonate with,” KL Rahul said.
“With the onboarding of a talented and renowned sports personality KL Rahul, we envision to combine the synergies of both. In the meanwhile, realme said it has registered sales of ₹3,500 crore during the festive season sale between October 2-10 across multiple channels.
The company claims to have recorded a 1,200 per cent jump in ₹20,000-30,000 smartphone segment compared to the festive season sale in 2020.
The company said it sold over 1.7 lakh units of realme GT Master Edition 5G smartphones across all channels.
KL Rahul himself is busy with the ongoing T20 World Cup. In fact, the youngster has been picked by former Australia pacer Brett Lee as the likely top run-scorer of the tournament.
