Samsung’s latest Galaxy J series smartphones are expected to feature a dual-camera setup in addition to ‘Infinity Display’.
Samsung is set to launch four new smartphones under its Galaxy J series on May 21. Targeted for millennials, Samsung's latest Galaxy J series smartphones will feature 'Infinity Display'.
In a bid to disrupt the mid-segment smartphone market, Samsung will price its latest smartphones at affordable prices, industry sources told IANS. Samsung's latest Galaxy J series smartphones will be manufactured at the company's Noida facility.
Notably, Samsung's flagship smartphones such as Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 series feature the "Infinity Display" and now, with the upcoming devices, the display feature would be introduced at lower price points in the Indian market. The South Korean giant first introduced the Infinity Display in Galaxy S8 series in 2017. It is also available on Galaxy A8+.
Meanwhile, in continuation with its "Make for India" initiative, the new Galaxy J series would come with features such as "S bike" mode, Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode and "Turbo Speed" technology. The smartphones are also expected to feature a dual-camera setup.
Recently, Samsung launched two smartphones under this series - Galaxy J2 (2018) and Galaxy J7 Duo. Priced at ₹16,990, Galaxy J7 Duo sports a dual-camera combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. It comes with in-house Exynos 7 processor, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Galaxy J2 2018 is priced at ₹8,190 and comes pre-loaded with Samsung Mall which uses AI to help users shop online. Its features include 'Visual Search' which delivers search results on the basis of a product picture clicked on or uploaded from the user's gallery.
