Epic Games announced today that the Captain America skin is now available on Fortnite. This is the latest comic-themed skin to be added on Fortnite.
The Captain America skin will cost you 2,000 V bucks (which is about $20) on the Fortnite in-game store. If you buy the skin you also get Captain America’s iconic vibranium shield. And the shield is not just a costume prop, you can wear it on your back and use it as a pickaxe in the game.
This is not the first time Captain America’s shield has turned up on Fortnite. It has appeared in the game before last year as a special item in the limited time Avengers-themed mode. However, you could not buy it at that point in time.
With the introduction of Captain America, there is also a new captain-themed fireworks emote for sale which costs 300 V bucks.
Fortnite is known for bringing skins in the game that are based on popular comic book characters. Deadpool was a part of last season’s battle pass, Aquaman will be coming in as a part of this season’s battle pass.
There was also Black Widow and Star Lord skins which were a part of last year’s Avengers crossover and X-Force skins from last season. Epic Games also has skins from the DC-verse like Batman, Catwoman and Harley Quinn.
