Google Chrome Dino game has a new mod version with swords, birds, and new features

We all have played Google’s Dinosaur game which appears on Chrome browser when your internet is disabled. The Dino game is fun, simple, and can be played online as well. Since its launch, Dino game has remained the same. A new modded version, however, reimagines the game with added functionality without taking away the simplicity of the game.

Called Dino Swords, the game has been developed by Internet collective MSCHF and 100 Thieves. You can play the game on your browser and press space button to bounce and avoid cactus. As the game progresses, it becomes faster, just like Google’s hidden Dino game. But there are many new additions.

You can find and use up to 26 different weapons. The weapons are allocated to different keys on your keyboard. For instance, you can use the “G” key to use “Holy Water.” You can unlock the weapons by grabbing the small birds flying over. The list of weapons include swords, tank, helicopter, bow and arrow, gun, and sledgehammer among others.

You can also enter your name and email ID to save your high score. There is a leadership board, which includes an all-time and a daily board. Highest score after one week wins a prize, according to MSCHF.

“Dino Swords is our take on the classic Chrome dinosaur runner game, made extravagant with 26 weapons to help your runs,” Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, 100 Thieves owner and CEO, told The Verge. “Many of them pay homage to classic video game weapons, some of them are totally OP, and some are completely useless. There’s even a few easter eggs that are pretty hard to unlock.”
