GTA: San Andreas has gotten a stunning, photorealistic makeover, but there’s a catch

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the super popular 2004 game from Rockstar Game studios is not going to get a remake any time soon. And that’s because the developers still have a lot to make from Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and on all other futur consoles ever.

And while some people can just dream of a remake, some others are that talented to make an open world epic in Unreal Engine 4 and give us a sneak peek into what the game might look like when it is released for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X.

Now, here’s the catch. This is not playable. That's the bad news. 

As good as this makeover looks, it is not making it to the original game and is just the handiwork of three fans who have used Unreal Engine 4 to create an idea of what GTA: San Andreas might look like if it was to be officially remastered.

The three fans, who call themselves ArcadiaSquad, are people who like to create audio-visual incredible things - that’s what they say on Patreon. Their focus, for now at least, are the games from Rockstar like Grand Theft Auto and to reimagine them in “unprecedented quality perspective”. Their simple philosophy is all about quality over quantity.

If Rockstar was to take this video made by Arcadia Studios and release it as an official trailer, not many would even realise. The video quality and the nuances are actually that great.
