Last month it was reported that the Indian government has given a go-ahead to PUBG Mobile India to launch in the country. The news came from GodNixon, aka Luv Sharma, a popular PUBG Mobile content creator. The title was banned back in September and since then has changed its parent company from China’s Tencent to Korea’s Krafton. It also tied up with Microsoft Azure to host all the game data locally. However, now, some new job applications on LinkedIn have re-confirmed the move.
Several job vacancies have been posted on Microsoft’s professional networking website, with most of them getting posted 4 days ago for the Indian market. Some of the PUBG Corporation applications on LinkedIn are for Senior Marketing Manager - India, Product Manager - India, Video Editor - India and Product Analyst - India. All these are for the Bengaluru location, suggesting the city to have the head office.
This definitely means that Krafton has geared up the speed for launching PUBG Mobile India. Considering the job listing is 4 days old, it is safe to assume that the team is still being built and the work will begin soon. We might get some teasers or an exact launch date within weeks.
It is worth adding that besides a confirmation from Luv Sharma, PUBG Mobile pro gamer Ghatak (Abhijeet Andhare), who plays for esports team TSM re-confirmed the news in a tweet. He says that the next two months are going to be very good for PUBG lovers with a lot of exciting news coming soon.
