Rockstar offers redemption: Free PC games to owners of GTA Trilogy remaster

Rockstar Games is giving away free games to PC owners of the GTA Trilogy remaster as a token of apology. The players can avail of this limited time offer till January 5, 2022, where they will be allowed to redeem one out of five games from their catalogue. Players who own the trilogy can visit the Rockstar Games official website to claim a free title from a set of available options- GTA V: Premium Edition, LA Noire, ‘GTA IV: Complete Edition, Bully: Scholarship Edition, and Max Payne 3.

Those who already own all of these games on PC can even get free virtual currency. The game is offering a ‘Great White Shark’ card of $1,250,000 in-game money for GTA V online. Whereas players on Red Dead Online can claim 55 gold bars for trading or buying in-game stuff.

Rockstar Games compensates handsomely

On November 20, the Rockstar Games has released the remastered trilogy's first significant update with the correction in issues faced by players in-game rain effects, holes in the map, and issues with character models in cutscenes.

The initial release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition was a huge letdown for many fans due to its myriad of game-breaking bugs, typos, graphical issues, and missing music, among others. The trilogy became a mockery all across social media, following which, the gaming company pulled the PC version from its online store and relaunched it three days later.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is a remastered collection of classic games i.e, GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas. This edition was aimed at offering a better experience for newcomers, by giving away massive graphical enhancements and several gameplay upgrades. Rockstar has been working hard to bring Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition up to the high standards of fans’ expectations. The company also made the original trilogy available for purchase on the Rockstar Games Launcher. Those who own the remastered trilogy can claim it for free.
