Sony PS5 DualSense controller has no back buttons

Sony has already revealed the DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5, and explained its features as well. It has now posted a 360-degree video showing the DualSense controller from all angles confirming one disappointing news for gamers.

This is actually the first time we’re getting to see the DualSense controller from all sides. The bottom part of the PS5 controller in particular has no buttons, padded or triggers. There’s nothing at the bottom of the controller adding to the disappointment of gamers. Sony has officially confirmed this and those who were expecting some buttons well, it’s not happening.

Sony has made quite a few changes and introduced a couple of new ‘firsts’ with the DualSense controller. The rumble sensation has been replaced with haptic feedback on the PS5 controller. It also comes with an integrated microphone which is a first for PS controllers. The DualSense also supports swiping gestures and new audio effects. More additions on the DualSense include a USB-C port, new adaptive triggers and speakers.

Geoff Keighley, creator of The Game Awards, had recently demoed the DualSense controller highlighting its new features. He played Astro’s Playroom which will come pre-installed on the PS5, to explain and understand the different features of the DualSense controller.

Sony has been sharing updates on its upcoming PS5. It recently clarified support for older PS peripherals on the PS5. Sony confirmed that the DualShock 4 controller will not work with PS5 games. Players can still use it but only for supported PS4 games. This means that the DualSense controllers are a must for PS5 owners.
