When Sony revealed the design of its upcoming console, the PlayStation 5, it had the fans divided. While many loved the design, others were not wholly over the moon. However, while they decide whether like it or hate it, it seems the decision on a PS5 console dipped in 24-karat gold might be easier to take a call on.
You It might be safe to assume that no one wants one. But that hasn’t stopped a British company called Truly Exquisite from going ahead and unveiling one anyway.
Aimed at the (ridiculously) rich, this limited edition PS5 can be acquired coated in 24K gold, 24K platinum and if you are really on a budget - a 18K rose gold. You can check out what thHTis console will look like here -
And how much will this cost you? Truly Exquisite has not revealed any price details yet but Harrods’ 24-karat gold plated Xbox One cost 6,000 pounds when it was revealed in 2013. That’s roughly about $7,700 ( ₹5,75,380 approx).
If you are to buy this, make sure you buy a safe to lock it up too.
According to Kunal Patel, the founder and CEO of Truly Exquisite, the PS5 is one of the most anticipated consoles to be ever released and given that many people have been waiting for this for years, a limited-edition luxury version is something that might work for the real connoisseurs.
Patel says that they have costumers who want to order this gold-plated PS5 after just looking at renders. He expects this version to be really popular and adds that not more than 100 pieces will be released worldwide.
The Truly Exquisite site currently allows you to register your interest for the glittering console only. There are no other details.
If you have a tonne of money to throw away (you can throw some towards us, you know) and are thinking of this limited edition luxury console, you will have to remember that the PS5 is expected to be one of the heaviest consoles ever made (at 11 pounds), the gold or the platinum on it is just going to make it heavier.
But then it just might be worth the weight. And the wait.
