Samsung brings Odyssey line of curved gaming monitors in India: Here’s the price

Samsung is expanding its gaming monitor lineup in India by introducing the Odyssey curved QLED monitor series. This was unveiled at CES 2020 and are touted as monitors with world’s first 1000R curvature. It also has 1ms response time with support for 240Hz refresh rate. For now, there are two models that have made their way to the Indian shores. First is the G9 with 49-inch display, while the second is G7 with 32-inch and 27-inch variants.

Being the first 1000R curvature monitors, the Odyssey range has a curvature radius of 1,000 millimetres, which as Samsung says, matches the curve of the human eye for maximum immersion and minimal eye strain. The displays also have Eye Comfort certificate from TUV Rheinland. Samsung additionally claims that Odyssey monitors are the world’s first Dual Quad High-Definition (DQHD) monitors with QLED picture quality.

The new monitors support NVIDIA G-SYNC and Adaptive Sync on DP1.4 as well. While the G9 has 5120×1440 resolution with 32:9 aspect ratio, the G7 has 2560×1440 resolution with 16:9 aspect ratio. Both monitors have Black and white exteriors that can change colours based on your preference.

Odyssey G9 49-inch and G7 32-inch and 27-inch models come at ₹1,99,000 and ₹49,000 and the pre-booking starts from November 25 till December 31.
