Facebook’s mental health portal will connect users to support, information

Facebook is launching a mental health portal that will connect users to support and information. Connected services like Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger will also get tools for mental health support.

The global pandemic has had us holed up at home and dealing with a kind of life we have never experienced or tackled before. And obviously, this hasn’t been great for our mental health. To help deal with this to a certain extent, Facebook is all set to launch a new emotional health resource centre replete with expert guides and information. 

This resource center will help connect users on the platform and the other apps (WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram) with services and support, Facebook announced in a blog post.

Going forward, Emotional Health will be a centralised resource center on the Facebook app and will have tips and information from experts worldwide, including Kids Help Phone, NAMI, It’s OK To Talk etc. This hub will be available globally and will contain information about your area specifically.
