Government is concerned over more atomic scientists opting for jobs in multinational companies associated with the nuclear energy sector.
'Yes, sir,' Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chavan said in the Rajya Sabha in reply to a query whether there was a crisis of nuclear scientists in the country.
He said while this had become a matter of serious concern it has not yet reached the level of crisis.
The Department of Atomic Energy has placed its concern in this matter before the Sixth Pay Commission and has requested it to specifically examine the possibility of paying higher remuneration to its employees.
