HTC One M10 will not be launched at this year’s Mobile World Congress

Taiwanese manufacturer will reportedly not unveil its forthcoming flagship - the HTC one M10 at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2016 (GSM Arena)

HTC's upcoming flagship, the One M10, will not be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, instead the company is planning a separate launch event.

The next flagship from the Taiwanese manufacturer will reportedly be unveiled at an event in London on April 11. According to blogger @evleaks aka Evan Blass, the handset will hit US markets around May 9th.

Unlike the past few years, HTC will not make an appearance at this year's MWC. The company is keeping a low profile this time around as it will not be holding a media event like Samsung and LG. HTC will reportedly focus on the launch of its latest 'HTC Vive Pre' virtual reality headset, pre-orders for which go live on February 29.

Reports suggest the upcoming HTC One M10 code-named HTC Perfume will feature a Snapdragon 820 processor and will run Android 6.1 with HTC Sense 8.0 user interface on top. Rumors also indicate a 12-megapixel rear camera, an UltraPixel selfie cam, a 5.2-inch WQHD screen, a 3,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner integrated with the Home button just like the HTC One A9.
