OnePlus is gearing up for its biggest launch of the year on May 14. The company will take wraps off OnePlus 7 series which will feature two new phones - OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Over last few weeks, OnePlus has been building hype around its new smartphones, especially OnePlus 7 Pro.
If you look at OnePlus' recent teasers and tweets, the conversation has largely focused on its premium OnePlus 7 Pro. From bagging DisplayMate's A+ rating to triple rear cameras, OnePlus is promoting its OnePlus 7 Pro as the next big thing in the premium smartphone segment.
OnePlus 7 Pro may undercut the rivals such as Samsung Galaxy S10 and Apple iPhone XS in terms of price, it is most likely to be more expensive than OnePlus 7. So far, OnePlus 7 leaks have suggested the smartphone will be just an incremental upgrade over OnePlus 6T.
According to reports, OnePlus 7 will miss out on some of the biggest changes that OnePlus is bringing with OnePlus 7 Pro. For instance, it will have a notched display instead of OnePlus 7 Pro's dual curved display with higher resolution and faster refresh rate. It's also expected to feature two rear cameras instead of a triple rear camera setup.
As far as improvements go, you can expect Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 855 processor, higher resolution cameras, and a faster 4,150mAh battery with 30W Warp Charging technology.
In comparison, OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to come with 48-megapixel, 8-megapixel and 16-megapixel triple rear cameras. It will have a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, it will have a larger display at 6.67-inch with 2K resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It will also support faster UFS 3.0. The smartphone will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charger.
