Just yesterday (May 14) we saw a leaked image showing the Realme TV packaging and at least one of the screen size models. Today, the firm has sent an invite for the launch. As per the invite, Realme TV will launch on May 25 alongside the Realme Watch, which has also been teased by the firm before. The announcement of these two products will take place online (of course) through the company’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube handles starting 12.30PM IST.
From the past leaks, all we know about the Realme TV is that it may have a 43-inch screen variant with LED panel and will run on Android TV OS. Certain listings and certifications indicate it to run on the MStar T16 processor. Realme has not yet confirmed anything about the home appliance but fortunately, we won’t have to wait for long to see what the company has in store for us.
We expect the Realme TV to compete in the same price bracket as the Xiaomi TVs, which might be around ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 considering Xiaomi has its Mi LED TV 4A Pro (43-inch) priced at ₹21,999 and the Mi TV 4X (43-inch) around ₹24,999.
Realme Watch has also been teased by the company CEO Madhav Sheth before. This comes in addition to the short teaser that has been posted on Twitter. From the looks of it, the watch is supposed to have a square-ish display.
The smartwatch’s design isn’t very surprising neither is its resemblance to the Apple Watch. Leaked renders also show the same design with the Realme branding placed at the bottom. There’s also a button on the right which will most likely be the power button. It could be offered in different colour options as well like black, white, blue and green.
As for the specifications, the Watch is rumoured to feature a 1.4-inch TFT display with 320x320 pixels resolution, 160mAh battery which may last for seven days on a single charge, 24-hour heart rate monitor, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and may run on custom OS.
Being the second wearable device after the Realme Band, the price of ‘Realme Watch’ is still a mystery.
