Reliance Jio offers ‘more than 100% cashback’ on select recharges

Reliance Jio on Tuesday introduced a new scheme for its Prime subscribers. Under the new scheme, Reliance Jio is offering "more than 100% cashback" on recharges of ₹398 and above. The scheme is available to users starting today.

Under its 'Surprise Cash Back Offer', Reliance Jio is offering cashback worth ₹700. The operator will be providing cashback in the form of eight vouchers of ₹50 denomination on every recharge of ₹398 or above. These vouchers can be redeemed, one at a time, on recharges of ₹300 or above and data add-ons of ₹91 or above via MyJio app.

Reliance Jio has also partnered with various digital wallets, including Amazon Pay and BHIM Axis Pay, to offer instant cashback of up to ₹300 during recharge. Apart from usual cashback benefits, Paytm users are eligible for 50% cashback on first time movie booking (up to ₹150 cashback).

Mobikwik users will be eligible for 100% SuperCash Mobikwik Hotel vouchers of up to ₹2,500. PhonePe customers will receive ₹75 on their first UPI transaction on the app.

These schemes are valid till January 31, 2018. Note that wallet cashback is applicable on recharge through partner app or website.

"More than 100% cashback vouchers worth ₹400 will be credited immediately in the customer account, and will be visible under My Vouchers in MyJio app," said Reliance Jio on its website. "In case you have purchased a voucher of ₹300 or above via MyJio App during the offer period, then the cashback will only be credited once the voucher is redeemed."

Reliance Jio's latest scheme comes shortly after its Happy New Year plans, under which the operator increased data benefits under existing data plans. Under the Happy New Year plans, Jio is offering 20% additional data under its ₹399 plan along with validity of two additional weeks. This increases the validity of the plan from the current 70 days to 84 days.

For 1.5GB per day packs, Jio is offering 42GB of data for 28 days, up from 28GB under the ₹198 plan. For ₹398, Reliance Jio is giving 105GB of data with validity of 70 days whereas under ₹448 and ₹498, customers will get 126GB and 136GB of data respectively.
