Not to be outdone, Mark Cuban and Falon Fatemi backed Fireside is also competing for the audio chatroom space, with an app that claims to deliver a “next-gen podcast platform.” The app is currently in a limited beta test on iOS, and we got our first glimpse of the interface today - it looks like this.  

WhatsApp desktop calls to remain connected if phone gets disconnected

According to a noted WhatsApp feature leaker, calls made on the desktop app could soon continue working even if a users smartphone loses internet access, suggesting proper multi-device support could be a lot closer than we previously thought.
