Tesla’s latest:Asia’s ‘biggest energy storage system’ to power Japan trains

Tesla's latest venture involves what it calls the 'largest energy storage system in Asia' - a bank of 42 'Powerpacks' to provide emergency backup power to trains in Japan's Osaka. Tesla claims the system helps in 'smart energy consumption' by 'providing greater control, efficiency and reliability across the electric grid'. The company says that the hardware installation in Osaka was completed in just two days.
