Honor Play 4 Pro with temperature sensor launched alongside Play 4
Honor Play 4 Pro and Honor Play 4 have launched in China. The two phones also support 5G connectivity. Here’s everything you need to know about Honor’s new phones.
Honor, Huawei's sub-brand, on Wednesday announced the launch of Play 4 and Play 4 Pro. The two phones have launched in China for CNY 2,000 ( ₹21, 200 approximately) and CNY 2,900 ( ₹30,700 approximately) respectively. The two phones come with 5G connectivity.
Honor Play 4 Pro also comes with an infrared temperature sensor. In the demo video, Honor's Play 4 Pro is seen reading the temperature of a person when the phone is held against their forehead or wrists. The feature, quite rare for a smartphone, comes at a time when the world is grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The feature can obviously be used to detect high temperature, one of the symptoms for the infection. The adoption, however, will depend on its accuracy and practicality. According to Honor, the sensor can smoothly function between -20 degrees Celsius and 100 degrees Celsius.
