Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event 2021: Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone. It runs on Android 11.

Samsung today hosted the second major event of the year. At its Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event, the Korean tech giant launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone. The newly launched Galaxy Z Flip 3 joins the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphones. For those of you who are new to the series, the Galaxy Z Flip series is the company's budget foldable display smartphone series.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is priced at $999.99 ( ₹74,257 approx.) in the US. It will be available for pre-order in the US starting August 11 and it will go on sale in select countries including the US, Korea and Europe starting August 27. Samsung said that the users who pre-order its Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone will get a year of Samsung Care+24 protection support service.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the newly launched Galaxy Z Flip 3 has two displays. On the inside, it has a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 2640x1080 pixels, a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and 1200 nits of peak brightness. On the outside, you get a 1.9-inch super AMOLED screen that offers a resolution of 512x260 and a brightness of 935 nits. This smaller screen shows details such as date and time among other things.

The newly launched Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor that clocks a top speed of 2.84GHz. This processor is coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space. It runs on Android 11-based OneUI 3.0. On the camera front, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has a 12MP wide-angle camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle dual rear camera setup. There is a 10MP camera on the front for clicking selfies. The rear camera setup is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass protection and it offers up to 10x digital zoom, HDR10+ recording and auto-focus tracking feature.

For connectivity, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou and 5G technologies. It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and it comes with IPX8 dust and water-resistant coating. For audio, the newly launched foldable display smartphone has stereo speakers, and surround sound with Dolby Atmos technology, which includes Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging technology, 10W fast wireless charging technology, and 4.5 reverse wireless charging technology.
