India-based Boult Audio on Tuesday launched the Boult Audio ProBass Escape wireless neckband headphones in the country, with features like sweat and water resistance, a built-in microphone, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and a battery backup of around 10 hours. The wireless earphones will be sold in three colour variants and will be available for sale via online channels.

The Boult Audio ProBass Escape headphones will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart, and will be priced at 999. The company is selling the new wireless neckband earphones in three colours - Black, Blue and Red, according to the product's listing on Flipkart. Buyers will also be entitled to a one year warranty on the new wireless headphones.

On the specifications front, the Boult Audio ProBass Escape headphones are powered by a battery that offers 10 hours of battery backup, according to the company. The surface of the neckband also comes with buttons to control connectivity and playback on the device. It has a Micro USB port, however, instead of the more modern USB-C option. The wireless neckband earphones can reportedly charge fully in 1.2 hours. The device supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, which means it should support a bitrate of up to 2 Mbps, as well as offer a better range compared to devices with support for Bluetooth version 4.2.

The headphones have magnetic drivers that the company claims will provide users with an extra bass effect. Users can also take advantage of the built-in mic to take calls, while the company has added in silicone tips for a better fit. The earbuds are also IPX5 rated, according to Boult, which means that they can withstand a low pressure water spray of water – it is also sweat resistant, making it ideal for workouts or when you are in the rain.
