CyberPunk 2077 Patch 1.1 prevents gamers from progressing the storyline

A few days ago, we saw CyberPunk 2077 getting Patch 1.1 from developer CD Projekt Red. The patch came with number of improvements along with open world and quest fixes. However, it seems to have introduced a game-breaking bug. The bug reportedly prevents the main story from progressing. It is said to show up in a quest called "Down on the Street," when the player receives a call from the character Takemura. As per the patch (via Eurogamer), the call does trigger but doesn’t say anything at all. Also, you cannot progress through the next mission until the call is successfully received.

However, the developer is aware about the bug and has issued a workaround and requires an earlier game save. Here’s how you do it.

-Load a gamesave before Takemura and V leave Wakako's office.

-Finish the conversation with Takemura outside the office right away.

-Right after the finished conversation and when the quest was updated, skip 23h.

-See if the holocall triggers and the dialogue with Takemura starts.

In case this is not working, CD Projekt Red is planning to send a hotfix for "as soon as possible." 

Since this seems to be a serious bug that is not letting gamers move ahead with the story line, one can expect a fix coming soon.

The Patch 1.1 rolled out to PCs, consoles and Google Stadia versions. It brought some improvements in memory usage in different systems and has fixed unexpected game crashes. The quest, like Pyramid Song, Poem of The Atoms, Space Oddity and others were also fixed.
