So, what is Google aiming to achieve by expanding its Stadia team? Well, the job listing does reveal some details if not a lot in this regard. The job description section of the listing shows that the tech giant is aiming to expand the availability of its cloud-based game streaming service, that is, Stadia even further. To give you a quick background, Stadia is already available on Android TV, Chromecast-enabled devices, and iOS. Later this year, it will be available on LG’s smart TVs via the company’s WebOS. Now, the company is planning to make the service available on a more diverse device portfolio.

“In addition to building our own video game platform, we see an important opportunity to make our infrastructure and tools available to partners who want to build their own interactive streaming platforms,” Google wrote in its job listing.

“We are working on custom-built hardware and rapidly evolving open source technology to deliver a seamless gaming experience across multiple devices,” the company added. This indicates that Google is planning to make Stadia available on devices by other tech companies. It also indicates that the company is also planning to expand its own hardware portfolio in this regard.

So, what kind of devices is Google looking at? The job listing shows that Google is keen on expanding the reach of Stadia to more and more TVs. “Lead our approach to TV, making cloud gaming available on more devices...Work with vendors to scale the ecosystem of devices which support Stadia's hardware and software requirements,” the listing says. LG TVs will be getting support for Stadia later this year. So, it is possible that the company is targeting Samsung’s Tizen-based TVs and Amazon Fire TV sticks next. Beyond that, the listing doesn’t reveal much.

In case you get selected, you’ll be headed over to Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California. That’s another perk, you do not want to miss out on!
