Google is bringing a change in its Google Cloud managerial division. It has appointed Anil Valluri as the Senior Director for Google Cloud India. Valluri has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing in the hi-tech industry. He has also headed several technology transitions in India for customers across banking, telecommunications, public sector and manufacturing. Before joining Google Cloud, Valluri was the President of India & SAARC operations at NetApp. Before that he was with Artiman Ventures, a Bay-area based venture capital firm and Vice President and Managing Director for Sun Microsystems in India.
Speaking on his appointment, Anil Valluri said, “Cloud is the next big transition in the technology industry and Google has been making major strides in this space. I’m excited for this new opportunity to help businesses of all sizes in India succeed in this rapidly digitizing economy.”
In addition, Karan Bajwa, Managing Director, Google Cloud India said, “Anil has led some of the biggest technology MNCs in India and his experience will be invaluable as we continue our charter to help companies solve their most complex business and technology challenges. I look forward to working with Anil to deepen our customer engagement, expand on our strategic partnerships, and deliver advanced solutions to help companies in India accelerate their data-led innovation.”
The announcement comes a few days after Bajwa talked about how Google Cloud is helping businesses get back on their feet and keep people connected during Covid-19. “As Covid-19 runs its course, we at Google Cloud are working hard to deliver technology and business solutions to help millions of people stay connected. We believe today more than ever, we need to collaborate and innovate and build new features to make our tools helpful, secure and safe,” he said.
