Google Forms will soon let you save your progress as drafts

Google Forms became an important tool for submitting assignments and quizzes for students all across the globe as studying from home became the norm. However, the tool comes with an important issue -- it doesn’t allow users to save a draft. Simply said, users, up until now, had to finish the form and submit it. And if for some reason they couldn’t, they had to start filling the form all over again. Now, word is that the company has taken note of this issue and is planning to fix it soon.

Google today launched a beta version of Google Forms. This new version enables users to save a draft for up to 30 days or until the form is completed and submitted by the user.

With this new feature, users will not have to start over if they are unable to complete a form or quiz in one sitting, if they want to switch between multiple devices, or if their internet connection cuts out before their answers have been submitted.

“Next week, we’re launching draft responses for Google Forms in beta. When responding to a Google Form, Quiz or Quiz assignment in Classroom while signed into your Google Workspace account, your progress will automatically be saved as a draft for 30 days from your last edit or until the form is completed,” Google explained in a blog post.

The catch is the beta version of Google Forms is available only to Google Workspace for Education customers. Google said that it will roll out this feature to Google Workspace customers later this year.
