WhatsApp spotted working on a new call button, quick shortcut for chats

WhatsApp is yet again said to be working on bringing some new features to its Android app, according to WABetaIfo. Found in the WhatsApp 2.20.200.3 beta version on Android is the addition of a quick shortcut for business chats. For this, businesses would need to set a catalogue button. This button will be showcased next to the Call button when made available. The report states that this feature is still under development and won’t show up in the beta version just yet.

Also mentioned is the Facebook-owned instant messenger’s Call button feature that aims to combine the voice and video calls buttons into one. Right now, you will see two different buttons for both. Once you tap on the new button, it will let you select the type of call that you have to make. This too is said to be under development and will be arriving in the future app versions. But it has been revealed that these might come to Business chats first followed by others.

As per some previous reports, the company is working on improving dark theme and doodle feature in WhatsApp. The feature will automatically change the theme of WhatsApp Web to the system settings. To access this feature follow these steps: open WhatsApp Web > tap on the hamburger menu on top > then go Settings > go to Theme > select System default. Apart from bringing improvements to the WhatsApp Web, the Facebook-owned social messaging app is also working on improving its doodles feature.
