The smartphone company Oppo has launched its first foldable phone Oppo Find N at its annual technology event Oppo INNO DAY showcase. The device supports an impressive 7.1-inch inner landscape display (when opened) and a 5.49-inch outer display (when folded).
With an 8.4:9 aspect ratio, the inner display unfolds directly into landscape mode enabling users to watch videos, play games or read books without rotating the device. However, when folded, the 18:9 aspect ratio gives users a full, familiar smartphone experience.
The spring structure inside Flexion Hinge allows the device to freely stand when unfolded at any angle between 50 to 120 degrees. The device brings together 136 components with extreme precision of up to 0.01 mm, allowing the hinge to work as smoothly as the joints in the human body. Additionally, the phone also features a unique water-drop hinge design that widens the angle of the fold in the display and minimizes the crease by 80% as compared with other devices.
