Samsung Galaxy S21 box leaked images confirm no charger, earphones
Samsung does an Apple by removing the charger and earphones from the Galaxy S21 series.
Samsung has been rumored to follow Apple in removing the in-box charger and earphones. It looks like the rumour will turn out to be true for the Galaxy S21 series according to leaked marketing material.
Win Future released two images showing the boxes of the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra and “what's in the box.” Based on this leak, the in-box contents for the Galaxy S21 phones include a quick start guide, USB Type-C data cable and ejection pin. The box is also considerably smaller without the presence of the charging brick and earphones.
Samsung was earlier rumoured of removing the charger and earphones in select reports. But Win Future suggests this will be followed for multiple regions where the Galaxy S21 series will be available. Samsung is also expected to give similar environmental reasons like Apple for not removing two in-box accessories.
The report added that Samsung is planning to launch a new wireless charging dock, and adapters with two or three USB ports. Samsung is also expected to launch its new TWS, Galaxy Buds Pro at the Unpacked event. However, the removal of these accessories might not sit well with most consumers. Xiaomi also launched its flagship phone, Mi 11 without a charger.
We're getting to know more about the Galaxy S21 series as the launch comes closer. We've already had a good look at the colour variants and camera specifications of the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung has also detailed the new Exynos 2100 chipset that will most likely power the Galaxy S21 phones. The official reveal is still awaited so all rumours and leaks can be put to rest.
