Dell Latitude 9420, 9520 laptops with automatic webcam shutter launched
The new Dell Latitude series also comes with Intel's 11th gen vPro chips, up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
Dell has launched new laptops under its Latitude series for business customers. Dell Latitude 9420 and 9520 come with Intel's new 11th gen vPro chips, and an automated webcam shutter. The new Dell laptops will go on sale in spring 2021.
Dell Latitude 9420 starts at $1,949 ( ₹1,42,700 approx), while the price of the Latitude 9520 is yet to be revealed. Dell also launched the Latitude 7520 and Latitude 5420 laptops priced at $1,649 ( ₹1,20,700 approx) and $1,049 ( ₹76,800 approx), respectively. These two laptops will go on sale from January 12 onwards in select markets.
Dell 9420 is the first laptop to use the company's SafeShutter technology that automatically closes and opens the webcam shutter depending on whether the camera is in use or not. This feature comes pretty handy at a time when multiple video meetings are conducted on a daily basis due to remote work.

In terms of specs, the Dell Latitude 9420 has a 14-inch QHD+ touchscreen display in a 2-in-1 form factor. It comes with up to Intel's 11th gen Core i7 processor, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The Dell Latitude 9420 packs a 60Wh battery with support for up to 65W charging. It also has support for Wi-Fi 6E and 5G LTE connectivity options.
The Dell 9520 will be available later in spring this year, and it will come with similar offerings as the 9420 but with a larger 15.6-inch display.
