HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G smartphone with 5,000mAh battery launched

HTC has launched a new mid-range 5G smartphone. HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G comes with the Snapdragon 690 5G processor, a quad camera setup, and a punch-hole display.

HTC's new smartphone has been listed on the company's official website in Taiwan. It's priced at TWD 11,990 which translates to roughly 31,300. This is the introductory price of the smartphone as it originally costs TWD 12,990 ( 34,000 approx). HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G comes in two colour options of blue and purple. It is scheduled to go on sale from January 21 onwards. There's no word on the phone's global availability yet.

In terms of specs, HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G features a 6.7-inch full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 690 5G processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The quad camera setup of the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and another 2-megapixel sensor. The smartphone houses a 16-megapixel punch-hole camera for selfies.

It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0+. Its connectivity options include dual SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C port and NFC. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the software front, HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G runs Android out-of-the-box.
