Valued at $387.1bn, Apple is presently the biggest firm by market capitalization on the US stock market, having swapped places with the previous largest, the oil company Exxon, since mid-August.

About 24m iPhones were sold in the second quarter of the year, making Apple the biggest seller of smartphones worldwide, ahead of Korea's Samsung and Finland's Nokia. It is also the biggest mobile phone company both by revenue and profit, having passed the former leader Nokia there in the second quarter.

Let's breakdown few of the features that are making their way into iPhone 5:

"Assistant":

iPhone 5 is going to make our life simpler thanks to its new voice control feature called Assistant. All you have to do is speak in verbal English and iPhone 5 decipher it to iPhone 5 understandable language and execute it. Genius, right?

Nuance speech-to-text integration :

Along with Assistant, iPhone 5 will also bring Nuance Speech to text integration where users could just hit the speak button integrated in the message application and start speaking, while iPhone 5 will convert it into text. It's said to work perfectly, but we already have seen an app existing on the app store called Dragon Dictation which has come with its set of problems while speaking in verbal English.

World Phone:

The iPhone 5 will come with Qualcomm Gobi Baseband chip that brings support for both GSM and CDMA networks. This means a single model will work on both networks — Sprint, Verizon, AT&T. iPhone 5 is highly unlikely to appear on T-mobile's network. Wonder what it brings in store for the local CDMA phones such as Reliance, Tata Indicom & Virgin Mobile.

Dual Core A5 processor:

A5 processor is surely coming on the iPhone 5 after its appearance on the iPad 2. What does this mean? Faster and much smoother device but it could also turn out to be a battery hog?

Camera Upgrade:

iPhone 5 will also come with 8 Megapixel camera an upgrade from 5 Megapixel camera on iPhone 4. The new camera will be able to capture 1080p full HD videos.

Panorama mode in Camera:

Along with hardware upgrade, iPhone 5 will also bring in Panoramic photography in the camera.

1GB RAM:

1GB RAM is surely is making it to the final device & with the heavy duty upgrades we are having on the device it will require a RAM upgrade from a 512MB RAM on iPhone4.

Keeping the upgrades that are sure to be a part of iPhone 5 will this affect the Price of the already expensive for the pocket (40,900 for a 32GB model of iPhone4 on Aircel connection), well that surely time will tell, but our guess it that to keep it competitive with the ever growing Android market, Apple will tend to keep it stiff and stick to the earlier price more or less.
