Surya Grahan 2022 in India: On April 30, the world witnessed the first solar eclipse of 2022. It was a partial solar eclipse which was not visible from India as unfortunately, it was night time in the country. However, there is another solar eclipse that will happen this year, and India will get to witness it in all its glory. But apart from solar eclipses, there are other cosmic events left for this year as well. We have one more lunar eclipse and three meteor showers to come this year. Surya Grahan 2022: When is the next solar eclipse of the year
The first solar eclipse of the year might have been a disappointing experience for people living in India, but the second one is all set to make up for it. On October 25th, there will be another partial surya grahan. This will be visible in Europe, Northeast Africa, the Middle East, some regions in Asia and India. The best part of this solar eclipse will be visible in India. Do not miss this one.
Other cosmic events to come in 2022
We have already seen a meteor shower, a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse among other things like giant asteroids passing. The first half of 2022 has been eventful, but the schedule for the second half is even more exciting. First, we have another total lunar eclipse. This one will take place on November 8. But sadly, just like the first lunar eclipse, this one will also not be visible from India.
But, do not be disheartened as there are three meteor showers going to take place towards the end of the year. The Perseids meteor shower will be visible between August 11 and 12 and stargazers will get a chance to see up to 60 to 100 meteors per hour. The second meteor shower in 2022 will be the Draconids meteor shower between October 8 and 9. Finally, the Orioinids meteor shower will hit its peak between October 21 and 22.
