Apple has rolled out a new offer for students in India, under its educational program, that can be availed right now. For students buying a MacBook Pro, Macbook Air, Mac Pro, Mac mini, iMac, iPad Pro, or the iPad Air, there is a free wired charging AirPods. And these can be upgraded to wireless charging AirPods for ₹4,000. And if you want to really upgrade the sound experience, you can pay ₹10,000 more and get the AirPods Pro. This offer is only meant for students and can be availed at the Apple store, both online and offline.

Since this deal to bag a pair of free AirPods is a part of Apple's educational offers, you have to be a student to avail them, obviously. You have to be currently studying in a college or university or should be about to join a college or university to be eligible for the offers Apple has under its educational program, including this one. Parents buying Apple products for their kids who are about to start college or university, teachers, and college/university staff of all levels are also eligible to avail this offer.

Besides this particular offer, Apple offers most of its products at a decreased prices under the educational program. These offers can be accessed via the special educational section on the Apple Online store once the buyer has been verified and deemed eligible.

How to become eligible for Apple's educational offers?

For this, you need to be verified through the UNiDAYS platform. Or you can talk to an Apple specialist about this and get your University/School/College ID or acceptance letter verified.

Apple is currently offering free AirPods under its educational program but it is not a permanent deal. This offer is subject to availability. However, there are some other offers under the educational program that are available all year through. One of these offers is a 20% discount on AppleCare, a discount on Apple Pencil and Keyboard, an Apple Music Student Plan for ₹49/month which also includes Apple TV+. Those buying the Apple Music Student Plan will also get free access to Apple Arcade for the first three months, post which they will be charged ₹99/month.

If you aren't eligible for Apple's educational offers and yet want to pick up a pair of AirPods, the AirPods with wired charging will cost you ₹14,900. The AirPods with wireless charging will set you back by ₹18,900 and you can pick up a pair of AirPods Pro for ₹24,900.
