Twitter is one of the most reliable sources for the latest happenings and developments on a global scale for users. People share their opinions, views, information, and much more via tweets. Twitter keeps on bringing some updates and adding new features in order to make the application safe and easy to use. And now, according to a report by The Verge, Twitter may be testing an escape hatch for users who do not want to be part of a thread. As per the report, on Friday, writer and researcher Jane Manchun Wong tweeted an apparent screenshot of a new Twitter 'leave this conversation' feature.

The screenshot explained that "the feature would 'untag' your username from a Twitter conversation, prevent people from mentioning you in the conversation again, and stop you from receiving notifications about it," the report said. If you select the leave this conversation feature then it will make your Twitter handle appear as normal text in the tweet instead of hyperlinking it. However, there is no official confirmation on the feature yet from Twitter.

Meanwhile those who are wondering what a Twitter thread is, then know that it is a series of connected Tweets from one person. With a thread you can provide additional context, an update, or an extended point by connecting multiple Tweets together.
