Union Minister for Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday said India's digital revolution will be routed through the Common Service Centres (CSCs), which are playing a greater role in Aadhaar registrations.

"The foundation of India's digital revolution will be built through these CSCs," Prasad said at an event.

Out of a total of 103 crore Aadhaar registrations completed till date, as much as 12 percent have been achieved through the CSCs, he said.

In coming times, the CSCs will play a much bigger role in achieving 100 per cent Aadhaar registrations, he added.

With about two lakh CSCs across the country, these units provide a host of other services related to banking and digital literacy.
