STUNNING! People watch as burning objects fall from the sky in India; 'Ulkapat' seen too
People reported witnessing the falling objects from the sky in different parts of India. The instances were reported from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
It was quite an unusual Saturday night in some parts of India. Unusual because people from two villages in Maharashtra have witnessed mysterious burning objects falling from the sky! Soon after the rare occurrence in the sky, a metal ring and a cylinder-like object were found in two villages of Maharashtra in Sindewahi tehsil in Chandrapur district. Ganesh Jagdale, Tehsildar, Sindewahi, Chandrapur told ANI that on April 2, he received information about a 3-meter ring that was found in a village in Sindewahi. People had spotted an iron ring lying in an open plot around 7:50 PM in Ladbori village in Sindewahi tehsil. The ring was hot, which suggested it was falling from the sky, while yesterday morning, they found another spherical object in another village.
Pramod Hile, the Tehsildar Yeola of Nashik told ANI that he himself has witnessed the falling objects from the sky. "An 'Ulkapat' (meteorite) was visible in the sky at around 8 pm (April 2). I saw it myself. Its direction was from north to east. It got split into four parts. No damage has been caused and there is nothing to fear."
These mysterious hot ring and cylindrical objects most probably fell from the sky, Chandrapur district collector Ajay Gulhane told PTI.
What are these falling objects from the sky?
The falling objects from the sky were identified by several other people from the different parts of the state. Several social media users took to Twitter to share their experience of witnessing the bright falling objects. Not just Maharashtra, several falling object incidents came from some districts of Madhya Pradesh too, including Ratlam, Barwani and Khandwa.
The Chandrapur district collector Ajay Gulhane further mentioned that the disaster management control room has been informed about the incident in Mumbai and a team will examine the objects in the Chandrapur district. Some experts expect these falling iron objects to be pieces of rocket boosters that generally fall off after a satellite launch. The bright lights on the other hand are being attributed to a meteorite entering the Earth's atmosphere.
