Minecraft Update: Another Minecraft snapshot has been released by Mojang. This time, Minecraft Snapshot 22w17a has been added to the game. These snapshots are part of the upcoming The Wild update which is expected to release later this summer and will take the game to the version 1.19. The Wild update is going to be a major update and players have been anticipating it for quite a while. The major update will add elements such as new biomes, mobs, enchantments and more. Minecraft Snapshot 22w17a: What's new

Minecraft Snapshots are not major updates, but they introduce some interesting features and bug fixes to the game. This update is also similar. So, let us check out what you get in this Minecraft update.

New Features: This Minecraft update adds goat horns to the game. Now a goat horn will drop when a Goat rams a tree or any other hard block that occurs naturally where Goats spawn (Logs, Stone, Packed Ice, Iron Ore, Copper Ore, or Emerald Ore). The horn can be used to play a loud sound that can be heard from a distance. There are 8 goat horn variants and each horn has its own sound.

Warden tweaks: Changes have been made to the Warden's ranged attacks. It will now bypass shields and armor. It will also be less effective as its damage output has been reduced from 30 to 10. The cooldown has also been reduced from 5 seconds to 2 seconds. Wardens will now drop a single Sculk Catalyst upon death.

Step 1:

Go to the official game launcher. 

Step 2:

Open the drop-down menu right next to the ‘Play’ button. 

Step 3:

You should be able to find ‘Snapshot 22w17a’ written there.

Step 4:

Select it and hit ‘Play’. The game launcher will automatically download it for you.

Step 5:

Create a new world to test out the new features. Do not do it in an existing world because if the file is incompatible, it will corrupt your existing game.
