WhatsApp recently added a Diwali sticker pack and payment stickers to its platform. Now, reports have detailed a bunch of new features that are coming to the Meta-owned messaging app. These features are being rolled out on WhatsApp's Android-based app. You can access these features by downloading WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.21.23.13. Here's what's new:

New Contact Info: WhatsApp has rolled out a new user interface for the Contact Info section in its app. The new interface for the feature includes having three buttons -- Chat, Audio Call and Video Call -- under the profile image icon when you tap on the profile icon. Notably, the new interface does not allow viewing status updates for non-business accounts.

Default Message Timer: WhatsApp has also released a new default message timer on its platform. This feature will enable users to start new chat threads with disappearing messages automatically enabled. WABetaInfo says that today, WhatsApp is releasing the ability to set a default message timer for more people and they can also set 24 hours and 90 days as new expiration times for disappearing chats. This feature can be enabled in the Privacy Settings.

Multi-device support: WhatsApp is also rolling out some changes for multi-device for more beta testers. The blog site says that as a part of the change, WhatsApp will stop sending notifications when the security code is updated every time the linked device list is changed.

Communities: WhatsApp is working on bringing Communities to its platform. Communities are different from groups. A community can have several groups and the admin of these communities will have more power and control over what is communicated. Additionally, admins will be able to invite other people to join the community. Also, users can be manually added or they can join using a “Community Invite Link”.

Meta launches localised Business Hub to strengthen small businesses in India

In the meanwhile, WhatsApp parent Meta (formerly Facebook) was busy on another initiative in India. On Tuesday it announced the launch of 'Grow Your Business Hub', a one-stop destination for the micro, small, and medium businesses to find relevant information, tools, and resources curated to cater to their business goals based on their growth journey. Every month, millions of small businesses - 15 million just on WhatsApp in India - use the Meta apps to start their online journeys and grow their business, a statement said.

The announcement was made at the inaugural edition of the 'Grow Your Business Summit' - an event focused on the growth agenda of India's small and medium businesses (SMB), reports PTI.
