iPhone 14 leak: A new image has appeared online which claims to be iPhone 14 molds. The 2022 Apple flagship, which is set to be launched later this year, has been the talk of the town due to all the leaks and rumors coming out lately. Now, these alleged iPhone 14 molds have confirmed one of the biggest rumors regarding the iPhone 14 lineup. The image shows 4 iPhone 14 models where two are slightly smaller and two are larger in size. If the images are to be believed, then this will mark the end of the iPhone Mini model. Various reports have been claiming this for weeks, but finally there is some evidence indicating that this rumor may well be true. Check what else has been revealed by these iPhone 14 molds.
According to a report by MacRumors, the image of molds claims to belong to the iPhone 14 series. The picture was sourced from the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. They appear to be made for use in the production of third-party iPhone cases instead of actual handsets. Still, based on these images multiple rumors can be confirmed. The biggest was the exclusion of the iPhone Mini from the 2022 lineup. Other interesting information regarding the display size and camera bump of the smartphone have also been revealed.
iPhone 14 leaks: What the iPhone 14 molds tell us
The 5.4-inch iPhone Mini is gone, but it will be replaced by another 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model, which is likely to be the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 14 molds show two smartphones with 6.1-inch display, which could mean that both the base iPhone 14 model and the iPhone 14 Pro model will have the same size. Then, what differentiates the two handsets? Their camera specifications. A closer look at the image tells us that one of the devices with a 6.1-inch display comes with a dual rear camera setup, while the other is equipped with a triple rear camera setup. It is expected that the iPhone 14 will have dual rear cameras while the iPhone 14 Pro will sport the triple rear camera setup.
This would also mean that the iPhone 14 lineup will have three models with three rear cameras instead of two like the previous years. Additionally, it is also expected that the Pro models - iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max – will have 6.7-inch display each.
Apart from these, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also shared some fresh information around the upcoming Apple flagship. According to Kuo, the 2022 iPhone 14 Pro models will sport a 48MP Wide camera, which would be a major improvement over the current 12MP camera. It could also come with 8K video recording functionality.
