Realme has announced the launch of the latest addition to its 5G smartphone portfolio, the Realme X7 Max 5G, alongside the launch of its Realme 4K TV at a virtual event held by the company on Monday.

The Realme X7 Max 5G is the first smartphone in the country to feature Mediatek's high-end Dimensity 1200 5G enabled processor. The 6nm chipset comes with dual SIM 5G connectivity, along with VoNR (Voice over 5G New Radio) and dual 5G carrier aggregation. It boasts support for dual-channel UFS 3.1 storage The device launch comes a month after the company released its affordable Realme 85G smartphone in the country.

The company's new Realme X7 Max 5G smartphone features an FHD+ Super AMOLED display, which refreshes at 120Hz and supports a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. The company says that the screen has a peak brightness of 1000 nits, and a contrast ratio of 80,00,000:1 with DCI-P3 wide colour gamut support.

The device features a triple camera setup, with a 64 MP primary camera with a Sony IMX682 sensor, an 8MP Ultra wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro lens. On the front is a 16 MP selfie shooter. The Realme X7 Max 5G is IPX4 certified, which means it should survive water splashes from any direction, but probably should not be used in the rain.

On the battery front, the Realme X7 Max 5G comes with a 4,500mAh battery under the hood, which charges at 50W with the in-box 50W charger. The company says that the device can charge up to 50 percent in around 16 minutes, and features software improvements to protect the device from charging issues.

The Realme X7 Max 5G will ship with realmeUI 2.0 which is based on Android 11, out of the box. It will retail at 26,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, while the 12GB+256GB will cost 29,999 and will go on sale starting June 4 at noon on Realme's website, Flipkart and other channels, according to the company.
