This month, skywatchers will be blessed with a mesmerizing view of the Sun that will appear as if a huge bite has been taken from it. All thanks to the upcoming partial solar eclipse. During will be a partial solar eclipse as the moon and the sun will not be perfectly aligned. That means the moon will not completely cover the sun. As a result, the sun will appear in a crescent shape. The partial solar eclipse date is October 25.

An eclipse occurs when the Earth, sun, and moon are aligned in such a way that one celestial body casts its shadow on the other. Particularly in a solar eclipse, the moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, and its shadow moves across the Earth's surface. And a total solar eclipse occurs when the moon is just the right distance away from the Earth in such a way that it completely covers the Sun.

When exactly will you be able to watch the solar eclipse? A space. com report suggests that it will be occurring between around 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. EDT when around 82 percent of the sun's disk will be covered by the moon's shadow at the maximum point of the event, which is known as the point of the central eclipse. However, from Russia, the eclipse will be 80 percent, while this proportion will drop to 70 percent in China, and 63 percent in Norway.
