Which smartphone do you use? Does it have the issue of overheating? There are several smartphones that get heated up after prolonged usage, or while charging, or due to rising ambient temperature, among others. However, in order to overcome the overheating issue, mobile companies are now using liquid cooling technology to help the smartphones maintain their calm. Holding or using a heated phone is very uncomfortable. Overheating also impacts the performance of the phone and can even cause permanent damage. You especially need to be cautious of the battery of the phone as overheating can impact it very severely. But what can you do to keep your smartphone cool?

May it be a budget smartphone or premium ones like Apple iPhone 13 or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, all phones are required to be protected from getting overheated. But don't worry as there are some easy tips that you can follow to maintain your phone's temperature. Check out the tips and tricks you can use to stop your smartphone from overheating.

1. Don't use the phone while charging

You are advised to not use your smartphone (iPhone 13, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, or any other) while charging as it will not only increase the charging time but will also impact the health of the battery of your phone.

2. Don't keep your phone under the Sun

Most of the smartphone brands have started giving metal and glass body to smartphones. Metals and hence when exposed to sun, they absorb it and pass on to the internals. Hence keeping or using your phone a lot in the Sun can make it heat up, thus lowering the performance.

3. Avoid using heavy or power-intensive applications

If you have heavy or power intensive applications installed in your phone, then it can also lead to heat up the phone. In order to avoid it, if the app is not of much use to you, you are advised to uninstall or stop using such mobile applications. Some of the heavy or power intensive apps can be of games, video editing, among others.

4. Use only your phone's charger to charge it

Your phone can get charged from the chargers of different brand phones. However, this can harm your phone's battery and can also heat up the phone while charging. Therefore, you are advised to use the charger of your phone or of the same brand whose phone you are using.

5. Use a phone cooler

You can also consider buying a phone cooler , if you stay at a place where the normal temperature is also high. You can attach the phone cooler at the back of your phone and thus stop your device from getting heated.

6. Turn it off momentarily

It may sound weird but turning off your smartphone for a moment when it has already heated up may help with reducing the temperature.

7. Do not use the camera

Your phone's camera requires a lot of processing and hence, it heats up the internals by quite some margin. Hence, if you notice the phone heating while shooting videos or clicking pictures for a long time, simply turn off the camera and let it rest.
