The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an official notification for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL) 2021-22 on February 1, 2022. The application window has been activated for the same on the official portal of SSC at ssc.nic.in. Interested and eligible candidates can apply on or before March 7, 2022. The SSC CHSL exam is conducted to fill up various posts like lower divisional clerk/ junior secretariat assistant, postal assistant/ sorting assistant and data entry operators for various ministries/ departments/ offices of the government of India. SSC CHSL 2021: Eligibility criteria

1. Those applying for LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG) must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

2. For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A') in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), candidates must have passed class 12th in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

3. The age limit for the posts is 18 to 27 years as on January 1, 2022, which means candidates born before 02-01-1995 and after 01-01-2004 are not eligible to apply.

SSC CHSL 2021: Application fee

Candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2021 exam will be required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. Women candidates, and those who belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from payment of fee.

Step 1:

Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in via any internet browser. 

Step 2:

First click on the SSC CHSL 2021 notification link and read. Then click on the new user tab if you haven’t registered yourself earlier. If you’re already registered then just enter your username password to login and simply follow the post-registration steps.

Step 3:

Fill in all the basic details to complete the registration. Once done, a registration number and password will be sent to your email id and mobile number. 

Step 4:

Next, login by using your registration details and go to the ‘Apply' tab under the respective vacancy. 

Step 5:

Fill in the remaining necessary details, upload documents and pay the application fee. Once done, save the confirmation page for future reference. Also, keep a copy of the application form.
