Paytm Payment Gateway (Paytm PG) has added “Buy Now Pay Later” service for train ticket booking via IRCTC! Yes, now you can book tickets on IRCTC ticketing services without paying money at the moment. Paytm has launched its Postpaid service on the IRCTC as well. The payment gateway allows postpaid users to book their tickets through IRCTC instantly with the option of paying the amount later.

The company has witnessed a rapid adoption of its Buy Now, Pay Later service as it aptly caters to users' financial needs i.e., from booking tickets to paying utility bills, and even shopping. Users can avail this facility for a wide range of products and services at retail shops and websites as well.

“Paytm Postpaid (BNPL) will now be available for users who want to book train tickets through IRCTC. Through the partnership with IRCTC, Paytm PG hopes to offer seamless and secure digital payments to users for instant ticket bookings with the option to pay later,” said Praveen Sharma, chief executive officer of Paytm Payments Services Limited. What is Paytm Postpaid service?

Paytm Postpaid allows users an interest free credit up to Rs. 60,000 for a period for 30 days. Users are provided a single monthly bill to keep a track of all their credit-driven spending and can pay back the amount in full at the end of the billing cycle. Users can even convert their bill to EMI for convenient payments.

Step 1:

Visit the IRCTC official portal or open the app on your phone. 

Step 2:

Select your journey details and proceed to book tickets. 

Step 3:

Head to payment section and tap on ‘Pay Later’. 

Step 4:

Click on Paytm Postpaid and login using Paytm credentials. 

Step 5:

Enter the OTP and it’s done!
