If you try to find some important documents in the mess of unorganised files in your system then most probably, it will be a frustrating experience. Well, you can easily simplify things. WhatsApp, the instant messaging service, can let you save and download all the necessary documents ranging from Aadhaar card, PAN card, and other documents on your system in a neat and orderly way. This can be done with the help of DigiLocker, which is an online digitalization service by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. It provides quick access to authentic documents in a digital format whenever you need it.

It is possible while using the MyGov Helpdesk WhatsApp chatbot which can help you easily download documents from DigiLocker. However, you need to ensure that you have uploaded your documents to DigiLocker first. To do so, you need to download the app and then log in. Then tap on Upload Document and click on the upload icon. Select the files that you want to upload from your device. Once it is done, you can start the process to access them on your WhatsApp. Here's a quick step-by-step guide for you.

How to download important documents on WhatsApp

Step 1:

First, you need to ensure that you save +91-9013151515 as the MyGov HelpDesk contact number on your smartphone and then open the WhatsApp app on your mobile phone.

Step 2:

Search and open the MyGov HelpDesk chatbot on WhatsApp and then type Hi. 

Step 3:

The chat will then ask you to choose between the “CO-WIN Services” or the “Digilocker Services” option. Tap on the Digilocker Services. 

Step 4:

If you don't have an active DigiLocker, then choose No. This will ask you to connect and verify your DigiLocker account by entering your 12-digit Aadhaar number and OTP. Providing the Aadhaar number is compulsory even if you have an active DigiLocker.

Step 5:

After that, you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number, enter that in the chatbot.

Step 6:

Following that, the chatbot list will show you all the documents listed on your DigiLocker account. In order to download any of these documents, you will just need to type and send the number the document is listed at.

Step 7:

This will show the downloaded document in PDF format in the chat box.
