Google Play Store is one of the most basic and yet one of the most important applications that is available on the Android smartphones. It not only enables users to install apps that are supported by Android OS but it also enables users to watch movies and read books. Needless to say that it is the one-stop destination for getting functionalities that Android users may need on their smartphones.

While Google Play Store is one of the fundamental Android apps, many smartphones, like the ones by Huawei or the ones running on old Android versions, don't have it.

So, if you are using a smartphone that does not have Play Store, here's how you can get it on your smartphone:

Step 1: First, you will have to enable functionality to download apps from unknown sources. To do this follow this: go to Settings app > in the Search bar type ‘unknown' > tap on Install Unknown Apps option > enable it.

Step 2: Next, you need to look for your device information, which includes both hardware and software information. You can find this information by visiting whatdevice.app. While Android version is your software information, hardware would be represented by something like 'armv80'.

Step 3: Now download the APK file for Google Account Manager. Download the file that is closest to your OS version. Don't open it yet.

Step 4: Next, download Google Services Framework. The process for it is the same as that for Google Account Manager.

Step 5: Next in line is the Google Play Services. Download the version that is closest to your hardware and software configuration that is not marked as beta.

Step 6: Lastly, download the Google Play Store. Download the latest version that is not marked beta.

Step 7: Now go to the folder on your smartphone where all these files have been downloaded and install these files in the same order: com.google.gsf.login > com.google.android.gsf > com.google.android.gms > com.android.vending.

Step 8: Reboot your phone and you are good to go!
